Antalya, Türkiye – November 8, 2024 – Antalya is set to welcome the European Cross Country Championships for the first time in the event’s nearly 30-year history. The championships, which will take place on December 8, 2024, will be held at Dokumapark in
Antalya’s Kepez district, featuring Türkiye’s first purpose-built cross-country track.
To mark the countdown to the championship, Antalya Kepez Municipality organized a special launch event on November 8, attended by prominent figures such as the President of the Turkish Athletics Federation, Ahmet Karadağ; Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin; Mayor of Kepez Mesut Kocagöz; and Yavuz Gürhan, Director of the Antalya Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports. Representatives from local and national media, as well as other key officials, were also in attendance to celebrate the upcoming event.
