On December 8, 2024, the President of the European Athletics Association (EA) Dobromir Karamarinov and his team were informed about the preparation process for the European Cross Country Championships to be held in Antalya’s Kepez district.
Fatih Çintimar, President of the Turkish Athletics Federation (TAF), as well as Sabahat Adanır, Deputy Mayor of Kepez Municipality, and the Organization Team (LOC) attended the preparatory work meeting in Rome. During the meeting, information was shared about the preparations made for the championship, what has been realized so far, ongoing works, installations and detailed business planning dates.
Karamarinov, President of the European Athletics Association (EA), who made statements after the presentation about the giant organization, stated that they are closely following the process and said, “Together with the Turkish Athletics Federation, we had organized a successful organization last year despite the difficult atmosphere after the earthquake disaster. I am confident that the European Cross Country Championships will also take place without any problems.”
TAF President Çintımar stated that the works are being carried out in coordination with the European Athletics Union and the Organizing Team and said, “The works are continuing with a very harmonious and successful team. As in previous organizations, we are making all our efforts to carry out the European Cross Country Championships in an exemplary manner worthy of our country.”
